Senior/Associate Quantity Surveyor

Up to £85,000 per annum plus benefits

I am working on behalf of a leading QS and PM consultancy firm seeking a talented Senior/Associate QS to join a dynamic team. The business is currently in a new phase of growth and they are providing high-quality project management and cost consultancy services across a range of sectors, having most recently won a lot of work in the Retail and Education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying and cost management for assigned projects
• Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to clients
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimations
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and suppliers
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with budgets
• Conduct risk analysis and value engineering assessments
• Mentor and support junior team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Proficiency in cost estimating and financial management software
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
