About the Role

Due to an ever-growing portfolio of projects, our client's specialist Principal Designer & CDM team is currently recruiting for a Senior Principal Designer with experience in leading projects of varying sizes and complexities.

As a Principal Designer under CDM regulations, this role offers the opportunity to deliver both PD and CDM services on projects spanning multiple sectors, with values ranging from £500k to £500m+. The role also involves assisting in business development and helping to develop the next generation of leaders within the firm.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Degree Qualifications: Preferred in a design or construction management-related field.
• Experience: Significant experience (circa 10 years) in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Previous roles may include positions such as engineer or architect.
• Site Safety Inspections: Experience undertaking site safety inspections as a Client CDM Advisor.
• Business Development: Involvement in business development, fee proposals, building client relationships, and winning new work.
• Initiative and Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with BIM.
• Additional Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a Camps' qualification with the APS and a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with experience working in a client-focused environment.
