Overview
Our client, a reputable consultancy known for its multidisciplinary services, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join their Liverpool office. This role is ideal for an emerging professional with foundational project management skills, who is looking to gain experience on high-profile projects within sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, education, and defense. The Assistant Project Manager will support experienced project leaders, contributing to project planning, coordination, and delivery, while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Support: Assist senior project managers in all stages of project delivery, including planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, track progress, and assist in generating reports for internal teams and clients.
• Stakeholder Communication: Support clear and timely communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project needs are met.
• Budget and Cost Tracking: Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenses, helping to identify any potential variances and supporting budgetary control.
• Quality Control: Support senior managers in maintaining quality standards, checking project outputs, and assisting with compliance to industry regulations and best practices.
• Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential project risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies to support project success.

Requirements

• Experience: Some previous experience in project management or a related role, ideally within sectors such as healthcare, education, or infrastructure.
• Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Enrollment in or completion of a project management qualification (e.g., APM or PRINCE2 Foundation) is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project) and familiarity with project documentation processes.
• Team-Oriented: Willingness to collaborate, adapt, and contribute to a high-performing team environment.
